June: Fathers’ Day
Most people are unaware that first Fathers’ Day was first celebrated in Washington State in June 1910. It did not become a permanent national holiday until 1972!
When most people think and say it that it takes a village to raise a child, they think of women, but the role of fathers and father figures is equally as important. Today’s man is much more involved in education and childrearing. It comes as no surprise, that there are now many that celebrate the special bond between father and child.
